Aruba, Jamaica, oooo I wanna take ya!

(Well to Aruba, at least, this February!)  Many of you have dove Aruba's sister islands of Bonaire and Curacao.  So now it's time to dive the aqua clear Caribbean waters of Aruba!

You'll be staying at the beautiful, oceanside, 5 Star Renaissance Resort and Casino, downtown Oranjestad.  This luxury hotel has its own private Renaissance Island, a 40 acre private island with beaches and its own watersports/dive shop on site.  The water taxi departs from inside the hotel lobby to the private island every 10 minutes! Shopping, restaurants, and entertainment are just steps away from the hotel.  And, it happens to be Mardi Gras when we are there, sure to make for some special island fun!  There is something for everyone, divers, snorkelers, and non-divers alike!

And the Diving? 

Aruba is famous for spectacular coral formations, shipwrecks, and beautiful marine life, including, a variety of rays, turtles, and other colorful fish, seahorses and frogfish!  The wreck of the Antilla, a 400 ft. ship, is the one of the largest in the Caribbean with a max depth of 55 ft.  She is now an artificial reef, providing a haven to a wealth of marine life.  All protected diving on the leeward side of the island, the dive sites are easy to get to, only a short boat ride away!
